'Anointed In Amplified Alchemy' opens in slightly different fashion this week with Hijss whose blend of grungy space rock entered the doom charts at no 36 in March 2024 along with other Doom Chart entries AcidSitter, Mountain Dust and more recently Kröwnn. There is a label spotlight this week shining on 3 bands from the Brutal Records stable, No Worth Of Man, Bent By Sorrow and Eternal Returns plus tracks from a couple of my Albums Of The Week by Vulgarian and Overtoun. The showpiece track of this weeks show is a 20 minute progressive psych mind bender from Onioroshi. Overall, there is a leaning toward heavy psych but fear not dear listeners for the sickness is still here with the usual dose of sludge, death and thrash.
